Brian started in restoration and cleaning in September 1998. He started as an assistant to both the HVAC and Carpet Cleaner Technicians and then was promoted to operating the HVAC and Carpet trucks. After a few years and taking several courses in this field he moved into water and fire restoration where he received many certificates in the following courses: IICRC Upholstery & Fabric Cleaning, Carpet Cleaning, Water Damage, Fire & Odor Control, Carpet Reinstall, and eventually achieving certification in Journeyman Fire, Textile and Water Technician.
Brian found his passion in the restoration side of the business where he spent most of his career and achieved Master Fire Certification. He then furthered his education with such courses as National Air Duct Cleaning (NADCA), Automotive Interior Cleaning, Center for Disaster Recovery, Document Drying, Esporta Cleaning Technician, Asbestos Awareness, Mould Awareness and Biohazard Cleanups.
As an integral part of a growing company with many divisions, Brian was also given the responsibility of supervising carpet and furnace cleaning after construction completion. From there he was moved into Project Management and then promoted to Operations Manager.
Throughout his career and in the latter years, Brian has been given many managerial responsibilities such as assisting in CATS in Slave Lake, Grande Prairie and Northern British Columbia. At times he has supervised 50 people plus temporary workers and many sub trades.
Brian has prided himself on keeping good relationships and communication with those who are essential to this business. He has kept in good standing with Insurance Adjusters, Sub Contractors and clients leaving an air of professionalism and confidence that a job will be done in good standing.
With all of Brian’s knowledge and continuing growth in the field of Restoration it has led him to his current position as Branch Manager at Service Master Grande Prairie.
